This policy explains what HonestTake collects, why we use it, who can see it, and how you can control or delete it.

Your uploaded photos are private. They are shown only to you and temporarily to eligible reviewers. We do not sell personal data or use your photos to train general-purpose AI models.
Who controls your data
The controller of personal data processed through HonestTake is Daniel Koller, Dammstraße 21/48, 1200 Vienna, Austria. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to [email protected].
What we collect
- Account data such as email address, display name and authentication records.
- Onboarding data including date of birth, pronouns, gender identity, dating preferences, intended audience and dating intention.
- Content you submit: dating profile photos, prompts, bios, test context and written feedback.
- Community activity including ratings, credit transactions, assignments, reports and moderation actions.
- Technical security data such as IP address, device information, timestamps and error logs.
Why we process it
We process account and test data to provide the service and perform our agreement with you. We use sensitive dating-preference information only with your explicit consent to match appropriate reviewers. We use security logs, abuse prevention and moderation under our legitimate interest in keeping HonestTake safe. Where required, we process information to comply with law.
Who sees your content
Reviewers receive only the audience context needed to give a useful take and a short-lived link to the assigned test. They do not receive your email address, full identity, exact birth date or the identity of other reviewers. Test owners receive aggregated verdicts and anonymous written feedback, not reviewer identities.
Essential browser storage
HonestTake uses essential browser storage to maintain secure sign-in sessions, remember privacy-notice dismissal and protect authentication from abuse. We do not currently use advertising, cross-site tracking or optional analytics cookies. If that changes, optional technologies will remain off until any consent required in your region has been collected.
Service providers and transfers
We use Cloudflare to deliver and protect the website, including Turnstile abuse checks during authentication, and Supabase to provide authentication, database and private file storage. These providers process data on our instructions. If data is transferred outside your country, we use the safeguards offered by the applicable provider agreement and data-processing terms.
Retention
Account data remains while your account is active. Private photos and tests remain until you delete them or your account. Expired reviewer links stop working automatically. Security records may be kept for a limited period to investigate abuse. We will publish precise operational retention periods before paid launch.
Your choices and rights
From Account & Privacy you can download a machine-readable copy of your data or permanently delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, restriction, portability, objection or withdrawal of consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. You may complain to your local data-protection authority.
Age and consent
HonestTake is for adults aged 18 and older. Do not upload another person’s photo unless you have their permission. Never upload images of minors.
Security and changes
We use private storage, row-level database policies, expiring access links and transactional server-side credit operations. No internet service is risk-free. We will post material policy changes here and, when appropriate, notify account holders.
